The Little Match Girl

The Little Match Girl

The story of "The Little Match Girl" is one of the masterpieces written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. This story has enchanted us with its poetic nature and depth of emotion. The Little Match Girl is a small child representing the children of the world who seek safety, peace, a secure family, their basic needs, and their stolen rights.

We have preserved all the events, content, and dramatic structure of the story. We have adapted and produced it in a comedy, dramatic musical theater format. The play was first produced in 2000, reproduced in 2004, and in 2019, we re-directed it with a new vision and a new cast. We are keen to present it to all children to raise their awareness and encourage them to demand their rights.

This play was produced with the participation of a group of young men and women with disabilities as part of the Inclusive Theater Program, where professional actors collaborated with a group of amateurs with disabilities and special needs.
